Tasting Notes: You can feel the grapes' maturity already in nose, lush and warm cuddly aroma. In addition, smoky oak aromas and even shimmering liquorice rise. In the mouth, the wine is first mature, sweet and mellow. Towards the end, lush fruitiness develops into a menthol of canola. Tasty and well-balanced entity.

Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

 

Tasting Notes: Premium category Cabernet Sauvignon. Selected harvest from Siklós Hanging Hill vineyard. Fermented in steel tanks, and matured in 225L new Hungarian oak barrels for 18 months. Deep tones, intense color. Black berries, plum, cherries, chocolate, and spice aromas (black pepper, cinnamon, liquorice). Spicy and fruity taste with a long, biscuit aftertaste.

Blackbird Kopár Merlot

Composition: 100% Merlot

 

Tasting Notes: Premium Merlot from reputable Kopár vineyard in Villany. Maturated 18 months in second filled 225 l Hungarian oak barrels. The fragrance shows lot of fruitiness with the notes of candied sour cherry, plum, red currant, complemented by sweet spices from the barrel (licorice, cinnamon, cloves, pepper, vanilla). The sip is light, soft, fulfilled with red berry aromas (sour cherry, cherry, raspberry) and slight spiciness. Great potential. Limited quantity with 620 bottles.

Tasting Notes: Harvested in late September 2013 from Tenkes Vineyard in Villány wine region. Fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured in new Hungarian oak barrels for 7 months. Light green color with yellow lightning. Clear. From smell, fresh oak and smell of vanilla. From taste fresh orange. Medium bodied, with medium alcohol. Well balanced freshness, with medium or longer after taste. Food: it can go perfectly with arugula salad, smoked cheese, ham and fish foods.

Tasting Notes: The color of the wine is youthful green-yellow and its movement is quite abundant. In the open smell, aromas of mature tropical fruit, such as pineapple and mango, and spicy oak sprouted by barrelage. The taste is quite abundant and intense, the balance between juvenile fruitiness and acidity is great. The aftertaste is clean and fresh and remains in the mouth for quite a long time. The wine is perfect for greasy fish but also with grilled or fried chicken fillet.

Tasting Notes: Harvested in late September 2013 from Tenkes Vineyard in Villány. Fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured in older Hungarian oak barrels. The barrel spices dominate in the nose. Citrus and creamy notes lead up the long aftertaste.

Bionda White Merlot

Composition: 100% Merlot

 

Tasting Notes: ’Bionda', like Italians say, means Blonde. The first white Merlot from the region. Selected grapes from Hanging Hill vineyard. Aged in new Hungarian oak barrels for 6 months, spent 2-3 months on the fine lees. Pale lemon colour, limpid. Banana dominates in the nose, supplemented by a little chocolate, barrel spices, and fine oak aromas. Same notes on the palate with sour acids. Very limited bottle number. A rarity.

Bionda White Merlot

Composition: 100% Merlot

 

Tasting Notes: 'Bionda' is a feminine word which means 'Blonde', in Italy. The second white Merlot from the winery. White Merlot is very challenging to produce from red Merlot grapes as red colour is easily moving into wine juice with any skin contact.

Selected grapes from Kopár vineyard. Aged in second filled Hungarian barrels for 6 months, spent 3 months on the fine lees. Pale lemon colour, limpid. Aloof at the beginning, but later it is floral and perfumed, with roasted notes and green banana aroma. Creamy taste, with the same notes what the fragrance shows. Round sip with nice acidity. Limited quantity.

Tasting Notes: Fresh Merlot rosé, aged in steel tank. Harvested from Kopár vineyard in Villány. Strawberry, raspberry notes and a little rose hip. Lighter acidity. So drinkable.
