Bionda White Merlot 2020
'Bionda' is a feminine word meaning 'Blonde’ in Italian. White Merlot is very challenging to produce from red Merlot grapes as the red colour easily moves into the wine juice with any skin contact.
Selected grapes from Kopár vineyard. Aged in second filled 225 L Hungarian barrels for 6 months, spending 3 months on the fine lees. Pale lemon colour, limpid. Aloof at the beginning, but is later floral and perfumed, with roasted notes and green banana aromas. Creamy taste, with the same notes as the fragrance. Round sip with nice acidity.
