Bionda White Merlot 2023
‘Bionda’—meaning “blonde” in Italian—is a feminine term that reflects the delicate nature of this wine. Producing white Merlot from red Merlot grapes is technically demanding, as even brief skin contact can easily impart color to the juice.
Crafted from carefully selected grapes from the Kopár vineyard, this wine was aged for six months in second-fill 225-liter Hungarian oak barrels, spending three of those months on fine lees.
Tasting notes
The wine shows a pale lemon hue and a clear, limpid appearance. Initially reserved on the nose, it gradually opens to reveal floral and perfumed aromas, with hints of roasted notes and ripe pear. On the palate, it is creamy and mirrors the aromatic profile, offering a rounded texture balanced by refreshing acidity.
