Villányi Franc Premium 2017
The Cabernet Franc was harvested from the esteemed Kopár vineyard in mid-October. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine remained on its lees for 10 days to enhance complexity, then matured for 20 months in medium-toasted French and Hungarian oak barrels.
Tasting notes
This is a full-bodied, concentrated wine with remarkable aromatic richness and depth of flavor. The bouquet reveals red berries and overripe fruit, while the palate is defined by layered fruit, spice, and refined barrel notes. The finish is soft, long, and elegantly balanced.
This wine was awarded a Gold Medal at the Villány Wine Competition in 2022, and another Gold Medal at the International Cabernet Franc Competition in California in 2023.
